A Note From Mosh:

It’s Mosh here. As you know, on January 1, our Mo News Premium membership price increased from $7/month to $9/month, or from $70/year to $99/year for all current and new members.

Why the increase? Because we’re committed to making Mo News better for you—in ways both big and small. Our mission is to provide fact-based news coverage that brings people together around shared stories and informed conversations. We believe credible, non-partisan journalism helps us understand the world around us and each other better, even when we disagree. We know that Mo News is an investment, and we hope it’s one that you’ll continue to make not only in our news coverage, but in yourself and your relationships.

In 2024, we introduced weekend and holiday news coverage exclusively for Premium members, hosted special workshop series like our 2024 Election Survival Series, rolled out our Education Discount and Teacher Sponsorship Program, and launched our Small Business Directory. We dedicated more time and resources to engaging with you directly and answering your questions, offering context and perspective, and helping you navigate complex news cycles.

In 2025, we’re excited to roll out even more Premium member content and experiences, including city-specific meetups, shareable media literacy resources, deep-dives on topics and questions chosen by you, and new ways for our community to connect with Mosh, our team, and each other - both on and off of Instagram.

Since we launched Mo News Premium, our team, our editorial coverage, and the cost of doing this work have grown. Adjusting the price allows us to keep improving what we do, and ensures that we can continue serving you and your communities for the long haul. By investing more in our newsroom and our team, we’re doubling down on our mission and continuing to expand and deepen our free news coverage with more analysis, original reporting and live coverage to ensure that fact-based journalism remains accessible to as many people as possible. Our promise to you is that we will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that you get the facts, context, and spaces you need to stay informed, stay connected, and stay engaged in the news and in the world around you.

If the new price makes it tough for you to stay on board, or if you have any questions about this change, please send us a note at info@mo.news.

Thank you for being part of the Mo News family, and for your continued support. There’s so much more we want to build together, and I’m excited for what’s ahead.
